testagen peptide
Synthetic Peptide for Testicular Bioregulator Research
Technical Overview
Testagen is a Khavinson-class short-peptide bioregulator with the sequence L-Lys-L-Glu-L-Asp-L-Gly (KEDG), originally derived from analysis of testicular tissue extracts by Prof. Vladimir Khavinson’s research group. Short peptides in this class are hypothesized to interact with DNA in a sequence-specific manner, modulating gene expression within their tissue of origin. Testagen shares three of four residues with Livagen, substituting glycine for alanine at the C-terminus, which is associated with testicular-tissue specificity within the Khavinson framework.
